Spring Finds
I went to the mall yesterday because I had a couple of errands at Sephora. Usually, I don’t have anything to do with that store because I can’t afford anything in there and it’s too tempting. However, I got a Sephora gift card for Christmas, so I was all about dropping some cash. I also had a mission from Influenster to complete, so it was a multi purposeful trip. Once I finished with all my Sephora shopping, I decided to venture out to see what stores had sales going on (always a bad idea because I end up spending money). Well, I found one that I just could not resist purchasing something from, Forever 21.
Forever 21 is usually hit or miss with me. Their store is always in shambles and they have stuff thrown everywhere. Also, their clothes are junior style size and fit. Which means they are TINY, teeny-tiny. I’m pretty average in weight, but still, their clothes just fit so small and you have to get a L or XL, hurts my ego. Maybe it’s a store for teeny-tiny teens and 20 somethings, but dang it, they are AFFORDABLE and I WILL shop there and find something that fits! I want to be Forever 21…
Anyways, they have this really amazing sale going on right now - 65% off clearance. That’s not, clearance is 65% off, that’s an ADDITIONAL 65% off the already marked price! That’s a GREAT deal, any way you look at it. You better believe I spent an extra hour in there, forgoing Silas’ nap, just to find something that I could wear. I don’t usually shop just to shop, but I always look at sale items at my favorite stores to see if there is something I need. If I don’t find anything, no big deal, I won't buy something just because it’s on sale. But, if I can find something I like, I’ll wear it multiple times AND it’s on super huge sale - it’s mine. Like these cute mauve & blush spring sweaters that were all originally $20+ and I got them for $3 each. :)
Take a look at this awesome sweater combo I put together for spring. I actually wore this outfit (minus the sweater) to the mall on my shopping trip and I just loved the colors together so much that I had to do a little spring photo shoot. This also would have been a great feature for a comfy casual Valentine’s Day outfit - it’s not sexy, but it’s got the colors and sophisticated vibe going on. It’s perfect for those days that start out cold and are warm by the afternoon. The colors are all light enough that even if it’s warm out, the sun beating down on you won't make you sweat. You’ll look chic and pretty all day long <3 Amanda
