Marc Jacobs Coconut Glow Highlighter Review

I have a fairly basic, predictable beauty routine. I like to use the same products and create the same style, because it's easy and I'm familiar with it. I'm a mom living in the south, so I already have limited time, and it will just melt off anyway. Every now and then I'll try a new product, or a new application just for fun. Sometimes they are total fails, but other times are major wins. I'm going to share my review about my new love for highlighters. One shimmery highlighter in fact, the Coconut Glow Highlighter by Marc Jacobs.

Let me just start off by saying, I absolutely love this product! It has so many color facets. The champagne, gold, peach and iridescent undertones are perfect for any skintone. It has a shimmery finish that is just beautiful. It's understated and elegant. Bonus: It smells divine and makes me feel like I'm in the Caribbean!

As for the application, I have used it both over powder and under powder and it does not "cake" or clump up at all either way. I use this highlighter by itself to create a natural dewy look to my already pale/freckled skin. Ive also added it on top of my blush to give my cheekbones a soft and romantic finish. Also, I feel I need to mention that a little bit goes a long way. I made the mistake of using the whole pump for my first application, and it was way too much for the area I was covering. Just use a little bit at first, and continue adding on from there. It's hard to hide once it's on. This a long-lasting product - all day in fact!

I would definitely recommend this highlighter. It's certainly a luxury brand, that reflects its high-quality. The price is pretty high for me, for a product that just does one thing ($44), but I have a feeling it will last for a very long time! And I don't use it every day, so that should make it last even longer. A spring/summer must have!
