Accuflora Probiotic Review
Most of you know how much I love trying products for free. For those of you that aren't aware, I sample a lot of new products through complementary product “subscription boxes”. These companies have you fill out a profile, take surveys, and add your social media sites to their website. Then, they select products for you based on your profile and surveys. So, you're mainly subscribing to the company, and then they send you whatever box you've qualified for and accepted. One of these companies, that I have already seen quality products from, is Smiley360. That's where I was introduced to this probiotic supplement by Accuflora.
Are y'all familiar with what probiotics are? I had heard a lot about them, without understanding why they were good for you. My first experience with probiotics was when my brother brought home Kombucha Tea he got while working at a health food store. I was immediately turned off by Kombucha, because they have, ‘a colony of bacteria and yeast’ in the tea. Like, it's just sitting in there, you can see it. To me, it seems like it would be similar to pulp when you're drinking it. HOWEVER, it's really creepy and weird to SEE live organisms and bacteria floating around in your drink. I can only compare it to how there's mold and bacteria in yogurt and cheese, but it's “good” for you. I get the concept, it's just too unappealing for me to drink that stuff. So that was the basis of my knowledge about “probiotics”. Here is what probiotics actually are and what they can do for you.
Probiotics are living organisms that, when taken in the correct dosage, offer multiple health benefits. They are similar to the good bacteria that are already in your digestive track. When taken daily, probiotics can help support your digestive system and immunity, since 70% of the body's immune system is found in the digestive tract. This type of bacteria is not harmful for you, because everyone needs a balance of beneficial and non-beneficial bacteria in their digestive tract. Diet and travel could be impacting the amount of good bacteria in your body. Having a balance of the good bacteria in your digestive tract can aid against occasional digestive issues. Therefore, probiotics could be the beneficial bacteria your body needs to support good digestive health.
I had never had a probiotic supplement before I tried Accuflora. I think I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle, working out daily and eating fairly healthy. So, I was interested to see what a probiotic would do for me and my health. I received a full bottle from Smiley360 for testing purposes. They also included an optional 14 day challenge and advent calendar for tracking your progress. The calendar had fun little facts and encouraging healthy tips, which I really appreciated. I took the challenge, and have continue taking the pills every day after since I saw so much improvement.
On the bottle it says you can take two pills twice a day, but I have only taken them once a day. I can still say that I have seen improvements. I have less bloating, my digestive track is much more regular, and I don't feel as lethargic. I'm not sure about the immunity part, as I had just gotten over the flu when I started taking them. I suppose I could have taken them during my illness, but I didn't want to skew the results. What I have noticed is, I haven't been sniffy during this spring season like I usually am when the all pollen comes, so that is definitely something significant. I'm glad I'm getting extra vitamins and minerals through this supplement as well. That, and my gut health is improving throughout this process. I would highly recommend these Accuflora probiotic supplements.
Thanks for checking out my review. Do any of you take probiotics? What has been your experience with them? Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear about it! <3 Amanda
