Thrifted Levis

Thrifted Levis

I love it when I can find a good pair of denim at the thrift store. I especially like to find jeans that are worn in and not stiff anymore. When they are lived in, they're more comfortable than brand-new jeans. Don't get me wrong, I love finding new stuff at the thrift store too! It's actually kind of rare that you will find something new, so you want to definitely snag those items when you can (you can always resell it if it's not going to fit you) but I personally like lived in denim the best for my everyday wardrobe. img_4350img_4349img_4353

Take for example the jeans I am wearing here. They are Levi's, which range in price from $30-$70. I got them for $6 at a local Goodwill. They did have one big hole in the knee on the left side, and a few stains I didn't notice until I got home. To fix the stains I made little distressed patches by slicing the fabric with scissors, and now you can't even tell anymore. It also adds to the rugged denim vibe. I chose to add more holes to the other knee (and one on top) to make the look more symmetrical. Finally, I washed them to get the full frayed effect and make sure they were clean.

That's another fun tip for you about the denim you find at thrift stores. If it's got some rough spots/stains, you can always turn those into distressed patches and no one will be the wiser. You might have to scuff up some more areas (like I did), just to make it cohesive, but distressed denim is all the rage. So make your finds work for you!

I just love this hippie chic vibe I've got going on. It's super simple to create and it is very comfortable. Y'all know I'm all about comfort when hanging with my little, and in general! Cotton and denim is a must. What are your favorite go to pieces? Leave a comment below!
