New Friendships

I've had a lot of fun with my first month of blogging! Thankfully, it's been such a positive experience for me. I've learned so much along the way and have met some amazing bloggers that are super helpful, supportive and encouraging (Sustainably Chic included!!).    

One of these new friends I found through an Instagram giveaway, through another blogger that I follow. I messaged my new friend about us both being local to Columbia and we struck up an instant friendship. She's extraordinarily helpful and supportive. I know she's genuine because she owns 3 businesses, and also works a full-time job. She obviously doesn't have a lot of spare time and yet she is still always available to talk and offer advice/support.

We had a spur of the moment meet up last Friday at the State House, when she had the day off and was doing a photo shoot downtown. It was so cool to finally get together after talking so much on Instagram, even if it was a short meet and greet. On Sunday we were able to get to know each other better, and have some quality conversations at our brunch date to Café Strudel (a charming local hotspot in Columbia). With our families in tow, we ate, drank (coffee) and were merry.

I'm so glad I was able to meet Rachel, she has such a kind spirit. Check out her online boutique Demure. She's got some great southern style fashion pieces and just launched her spring line! It's so important to have good friends that support and encourage you. I'm so blessed and thankful that we were able to connect at this point in our blogging journeys.
