I'm usually pretty lazy when it comes to my fashion choices. I like monochromatic colors and neutrals. They go so well together and are easy to throw on at a moments notice - no thought required. But sometimes I like to dress the part of the Southern Belle. Since I live in South Carolina and love the south, I feel that this is appropriate. One look that just totally embodies southern preppy style is seersucker. When you find a great seersucker piece, you've gotta just go for it. Especially when you can find it at a reasonable price.

I found this cute ruffle off the shoulder top at Ross while we were on vacation in Florida. Ross had so many great off the shoulder options, I had trouble picking just one. But, since we're always on a budget, I had to focus on only bringing one home with me. So, I picked this blue and white striped seersucker top. I figured, I look good in blue, and it's a staple color/print, so it will go with a multitude of outfits. Also, I chose this particular top, because it looked good both off the shoulder and regular. For moms, it's not really practical to hold your kid and expect an off the shoulder top to stay that way. This top holds it's style both ways.

It looks so southern preppy with white shorts, and I love how the block lace up heels add some extra sass. You'd be surprised how comfortable these heels are. I walk around a lot, and I'm chasing after Silas all the time. But these heels have a thick enough block, and enough material around the ankle for support. Definitely mom approved shoes with style!
