Three Styles, One Outfit

Three Styles, One Outfit

Do you ever have trouble picking what accessories you're going to wear with a certain outfit? Are your outfits too loud to actually wear your jewelry? I might be able to help with that. One of my recent looks was just too cute with 3 different jewelry pieces. I just couldn't decide which one fit best with the style. So I chose them all (not at the same time of course). Each piece of jewelry brings its own unique style to the look, and based on the occasion or what mood I'm in would determine which one I chose to go with. Also, my fashion choices are fun, but neutral in color and style. You want your wardrobe to have mainly staple and neutral pieces, but only a few “statement” or “trendy” pieces so you can get the most out of your wardrobe.

I had to have this top because it's such a beautiful periwinkle color that's perfect for spring and summer. It's very lightweight, which is a MUST in SC when temperatures get past 90°. The long layered ruffles are chic, but also hide a tummy (for when you've eaten a little too much, or you're trying to hide a baby bump that you haven't shared with the world yet)

These skinny jeans are perfect for spring, and I love how the white accents with the purple. I can't wear them very long in the south though, so I've got to document whenever I can. Plus, since the top is long and flowy, jeans create an elongated look, whereas shorts would make you appear more bulky. The taupe lace up heels are so perfect for spring and summer. They go with everything and are a good height for moms, with a solid/thick heel.

Finally, the jewelry. The three pieces I couldn't decide on. I love my monogram necklace because it adds a southern charm to this look, and I'm just obsessed with monograms. But I also love my amethyst crystal layering necklace because the color complements the top so well. This adds a boho chic vibe to this style. And lastly, the gold earrings with coral stones, I thought were a great combo with this periwinkle color. It's kind of funky and Caribbean, which I love.

I should also mention that I don't like to wear a bunch of different pieces of jewelry together at one time. I like to keep my looks simple and focused on one thing. Think, a “statement” piece, whether that's my jewelry or the clothing.

This is how you will get the most out of your wardrobe and appear to have more styles than you actually do. It will save you money in the long run, if you have a bunch of neutral pieces that go with everything, and that you can mix-and-match to make multiple outfits. Then, you can dress up all those outfits with your different jewelry options.

For this look, instead of me having one outfit, I have three styles for the same outfit. If you have a statement clothing item, (I could have chosen my top as a statement piece because of the color and style), you could just wear no jewelry and still look put together. Sometimes, less really is more. The point is, you want to be able to wear the pieces you have, but you also don't want to feel overwhelmed while getting dressed in the morning. I've had to adjust my wardrobe to have more neutral pieces, and this has worked tremendously for me. I hope it helps you too! <3 Amanda
