Babywearing with Beluga Baby

Babywearing with Beluga Baby

So mama’s, who loves holding their baby? I know right, it’s the best thing in the entire world!! But who actually has the availability to always hold their baby? Not me. And I’m guessing you don’t either. Especially if you have multiple kids… and laundry… and food to make… and things to do. It sounds nice, but it’s just not possible 100% of the time. That’s why I love babywearing!!

One of my favorite ways to wear my sweet babes is with a full body wrap. I borrowed one from a friend with my first born, because he was too small to fit in one of the backpack carriers. And I loved it. But I honestly didn’t wear him that often… I only had one. And I could just sit there and moon over him for hours on end if I wanted to.

However, I have found baby wearing to be pretty much essential with two kids. Especially when we are out and about. It works in any environment, except for clothes shopping. But I try not to have any kids with me when I do that in general, because torture. But they work so well in every other activity.

Babywearing is so great for me because I am always on the move. I need one hand (at least) for my toddler and another hand to do things with. So that leaves zero hands for holding my baby. That’s when wearing comes in and saves the day.

I especially love the Beluga Baby wrap because it is thick enough to give you support and hold your baby in tight. The entire piece is a good width too, and made with quality fabric (bamboo). They have several different colors and prints. I also adore the pocket feature at the end of one of the sides. It has saved me many a times at the park when I have no pockets.

This style of carrier can be tricky to coordinate, but they have tutorial videos on how to wrap and the different ways to wrap (for different ages). Wrapping the correct way is very important for the safety of your baby and your comfort as well. It should not be uncomfortable for either of you. It took me a few times to get the hang of wrapping but once you do, it’s like second nature. I’ve also found that it helps if you wrap ahead of time at home (so you don’t have to drag the ends on the ground or waste time).

I’ve tried most brands of the full body babywearing wraps. Beluga Baby is by far one of my favorites. I also feel that it is well worth $65. Get a neutral color that will go with everything in your wardrobe, and wear it regularly; you will definitely get your money's worth. Plus, you can sign up for their email newsletter and follow them on Instagram for stock notifications and sales.

Babywearing has made my life so much easier! I can do twice as many things and still keep my little one close. It also helps soothe her when I’ve exhausted all my options. I honestly don’t know how I’d make it with two kids, without my Beluga Baby wrap!

They also have a selection of swaddling blankets. And let me tell you, they are so soft. They are the same material as their wraps, comfy snug bamboo. You can even get a matching swaddle and wrap. Swaddling is another lifesaver when your little one just seems unconsolable. A swaddling blanket and a wrap carrier would make great baby shower gifts as well!
