At Home Sensitive Teeth Whitening

My kids are one of the main reasons I smile and wake up every morning. I’m not trying to be dramatic or anything, I just adore my kids and they melt my heart when they are so sweet. I can’t help but smile when I just think about them. And since I’m doing all this smiling, I want my smile to look its best, right?

I’ve been using Smile Brilliant’s at-home whitening kit for the past couple of weeks. It’s so easy to use and I can do it anytime, anywhere. Although I always use it at night, after I’ve finished snacking for the day. Nothing about my routine has changed in order to use this kit. In fact, it’s perfect timing for me, because I’m able to whiten when I’m already having to stay up to feed Genevieve (my 2-month-old).

Review

Smile Brilliant is not complicated to use. The only challenging part can be in the beginning when you’re forming your custom teeth whitening trays. But, they give you a full instruction guide, with tips on how to avoid the biggest mistakes people make (and how they’re made) while setting the trays.

Plus, they give you an extra set of mixing paste in case you mess up. When you do it right, your trays will fit like a glove! They aren’t bulky like most “at home whitening” kits that make you feel like you’re wearing a football player’s mouth guard. They are completely customized to fit your teeth and mouth perfectly.

All you need to whiten is the whitening syringe and your custom trays. You just put a thin layer of product in the middle of where your teeth go, and press onto your teeth. Easy peasy! And for me, the whitening syringes last a bit longer, because I have whitened in the past. So I don’t need to use as much product since I’m not starting from scratch.

Afterwards, I use Smile Brilliant’s desensitizing gel. It helps build back what whitening stripped away, so your teeth aren’t so sensitive. Because of my previous years of whitening, I have very sensitive teeth. I also have exposed roots because I am a vigorous brusher. Who knew there was such a thing! But somehow I have pushed my gum line down, and have expose some of my roots; so that area is extremely sensitive, especially when whitening. But the desensitizing gel is a wonderful thing and is so perfect for minimizing that sensitivity.

Smile Brilliant is also very travel-friendly. With only your trays and two syringes, you don't have to worry about skipping a session, even when you’re out of town. It’s part of my “mommy essentials” now! Just what this mama on the go needs to keep smiling fearlessly. My kids give me a reason to smile, and smile brilliant helps keep my smile beautiful!

Results

If you’re still not sure, take a look at my before and after pictures. Like I said, I already have decently white teeth because of previous whitening. But I haven’t done at home trays in a couple years. You can still see a big difference in my smile after a couple weeks. The more consistent and longer you use it, the better your results will be!
