The Best of the Best: Leggings Roundup
Hey y’all! I recently had a request from another mama for a leggings roundup. What a great idea! I wish I would have thought of it sooner.
As moms, how much time do we spend in our leggings?! And they are such a necessity and fashion statement now, that you can wear them in public and not even feel bad about it!
But all leggings are not created equal and not everyone likes them high waisted or compression. And they’re not just for working out!
Here are the top rated leggings by recommendation, reviews and value. What I like to call: The Best of the Best: Leggings Roundup!
American Eagle:
If you’ve never tried American Eagle’s loungewear, you are missing out! I personally think they have the softest fabrics on the market. And they’re actually pretty affordable.
They almost always have a sale, or they go on sale fairly regularly. Mom’s and college students alike live in these leggings. Here are some of their best sellers and mamas recommendations.
Nordstrom:
We don’t have a Nordstrom in our area, but I’m not too upset about it. They offer free shipping and returns on any item! How great is that? No minimums and no membership fees. They also have a really great rewards program.
The only downside is, they are a pretty pricey department store. But, they do have two really good sales throughout the year and I have heard only good things about the two leggings shared here.
Yes they are on the investment side, especially the Spanx, but if you follow influencers or Instagram fashion at all, these will not be new recommendations to you. Everyone loves these. And the Spanx Faux Leather are probably the only leggings you can legitimately “dress up”.
Lululemon:
I can’t really speak to the Lululemon Align leggings, because I have personally never tried anything by Lululemon.
Of all of their styles of leggings, this is the only one I have heard praises about and it’s one of their best sellers. If you are into premium, luxury leggings, you should definitely add these to your list.
Amazon:
It always shocks me when people say they don’t think to buy clothes from Amazon. I have been buying clothes off Amazon for years!
It’s usually hit or miss, but one way to try before you buy is to read the reviews! Look at the pictures and see what everybody is saying about that particular product.
Some of these leggings are great for working out, running or yoga and some of them are for just everyday, casual, loungewear. No matter your needs, these leggings come highly rated and recommended. A lot of them come in fun colors too!

Old Navy:
If you follow me on Instagram (or know me in real life), it will be no surprise to you that I am sharing some Old Navy leggings. I have recently become Old Navy’s number one fan.
They just have such affordable options (and sales!) and great quality that I can’t pass up an opportunity to give them all my money.
One of my favorite pairs of workout leggings is from Old Navy from a couple years ago. They also have really cool patterns and prints, especially for work out clothes.
Walmart:
Walmart’s clothing options have come a long way. Just within the past year or two they have really started to keep up with the trending styles and fits.
Their workout gear has also significantly improved. Most pieces are $15 or under. Their in-store Danskin collection is pretty good too!
Other Fan Favorites:
Fabletics
I have one pair of Fabletics that have lasted three years and they are still going strong! They are comfortable and hold everything in. And there are tons of styles, colors and prints!
I also talked to a friend who is big in the running scene and she highly recommended Fabletics too. So I have every confidence that these leggings will hold you in and be plenty comfy for your every day/training workouts.
They have a really great deal going on for two leggings for $24 off your first order.
Lularoe
I’m sure you’ve heard of Lularoe’s leggings for super cozy, comfortable and fun patterns and prints. I’ve had several requests to include Lularoe leggings, but I have also seen some things in the news and media about how their quality is not as good as it used to be.
Just be informed and do your research if you plan on purchasing a pair. If you can find them at a discount from a local distributor (or just really love their patterns), I think it’s probably worth giving them a shot!
There are probably a ton of other leggings I could have included in this roundup post, but these were the specific leggings that I have tried, have been recommended by other style influencers I trust, every day mamas, or all around best sellers.
I hope you find a pair you love! As much as I’m in leggings, I know the feeling when you score a really great pair, at a really great price. Do you have any of the leggings mentioned above? I would love to hear your personal favorites!!
